Want to know beyond golf what you can do in Canberra or the South Coast of NSW? Not surprising there are a wealth of options. It is why Lonely Planet named Canberra in 2018 in the top 3 cities in the world to visit.
Restaurants and cafes to die for
With the best of local produce, Canberra and the South Coast NSW have a fantastic food culture. Canberra has some of the best restaurant and club food in regional NSW . Also there is an expectation of coffee that has driven local baristas to Australian and World championships.
South Coast NSW has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world with the jewel in the crown being Jervis Bay (above) which has the whitest sand in the world (whiter than an Augusta National bunker). All our accommodation choices are close to beaches and you can surf or a swim, have a fish or just enjoy a walk along the beach!
Whether you like trout fishing around the environs of Canberra or beach fishing down on the South Coast, there is plenty of good catches to be made. One freely available option is hiring a boat and a guide for the day and fishing with your group off Montague Island near Narooma. Whether you want to be guided or given some tips on the good spots, we have the contacts to make a rest day around fishing more than just a day dangling a line.
A winery tour
Canberra has a vibrant cool climate wine scene with many of these boutique estates producing some of the best wines in the country. The South Coast also has some interesting wineries and distilleries which you should visit and try. Let us know if you want a group tour included in your itinerary and we can go through the options.
Like to have a punt?
Canberra has high quality midweek race meetings throughout the year and we can book a special package for you at Thoroughbred Park. If you want to hit the tables we can book accommodation close to Canberra Casino which your group can enjoy and take on the house!
A visit to our National Institutions
A visit to our National Institutions is a bit more than the school excursions we used to go on. Canberra's museums and galleries are now world leaders and convey the history and fabric of Australian society. If this is an option for you, don't miss the last post ceremony at 5pm every day at the Australian War Memorial. An emotional experience. If you want to go as a group on an organised tour we know the 5 star operators in town who could make this a truly memorial day. Talk to us about your requirements.
A place to do business
Canberra is a leading conference venue with access to either hotel venues or an international conference centre. Also close to seat of government and with access to some of leading minds in government policy, science and medicine, it is a great place to meet. Why not include one of our packages in one of your pre or post conference activities?
Natural places so close by
Canberra is known as the "bush capital" with so many great natural areas. You are always a half hour drive away from anything which includes rural areas producing unique food and wine. The South Coast has stunning coastal scenery, much of it contained in numerous national parks close to the golf courses you play.
