Golf Tours in Central NSW and Blue Mountains
The area around the Blue Mountains and Bathurst/Orange maybe thought of as a potential golf tour area in NSW but there is so much more than what just lies in these growing regional cities. The region around has many hidden gem golf courses that make it just as worthwhile as any golf tour in Australia.
Not only do you receive our customary “booking to tee time” level of service for a tour but also a chance to enjoy some of lesser known but still great golf that exists here. It then comes with 19th hole venues that sample the best of food and wine in this award winning region.

The Blueys Golf Tour
The Blue Mountains area just west of Sydney, has old world charm about it coupled with a World Heritage listed wilderness area. But it has some unique golf courses and some great hospitality options.
Day 1: On the way to your 3.5 star or 4.5 star accommodation in Leura, fit in 18 holes at Springwood Country Club. A delightful parkland par 70 layout this course has the highest slope rating for a course in the Blue Moutains. After settling into your accommodation, have dinner out at the many options in Leura.
Day 2: Today is 18 holes at Wentworth Falls Country Club. Known for it’s superb conditioning, this is a parkland course with some wonderful old pine trees. On the way back take in some of the lookouts around Wentworth Falls.
Day 3: Today is a round at the nearby Leura Golf Club. The front nine on top of the plateau feels like a high veldt links course and then the back nine tumbles down through a valley with some superb views over Mt Solitary. Drinks at the clubhouse afterwards or the nearby Leura Fairmont Resort.
Day 4: Your last day will be at Blackheath Golf Club. A pretty course in a secluded valley behind the town it has undergone some recent remodeling. Afterwards take a drive for a view at Evans Lookout to look over the superb Grose Valley.
Bathurst/Orange has been the traditional trail to golf in the Central West. It is due to the quality of the courses and the cities themselves. This is our idea of an itinerary along this well worn path:
Day 1: Travel to Bathurst and take your car for a spin around Mt Panorama. You will appreciate how good those race car drivers are! Bathurst Golf Club is nearby and you can play 18 holes around this undulating, bushland layout with great views over the nearby Blue Mountains. After that travel the 50km to your accommodation in Orange.
Day 2: Include a round at Wenthworth Golf Club in Orange. Not as long as it’s city sister but tighter with some wonderful par 3’s and tricky short par 4’s . The course carves it’s way through a variety of pine trees. Well worth the 18 holes.
Day 3: It is the day to do it. The grand lady of Central West golf, Duntryleague. Wide but long fairways, sharp bunkering and immaculate conditioning. The course has a unique atmosphere similar to playing at Royal Sydney without the membership fee!
Day 4: Either repeat one of the courses you loved on the way home or if you don’t mind a day trip, consider going to Forbes or Dubbo Golf Clubs . You could also try nine holers like Canowindra or Blayney.
